St Peter's Church Barton: the parish

The Parish of Barton

Barton was a flourishing village even in Saxon times, for it is mentioned three times in the Domesday Book. In modern times, the village is part of a three parish benefice, sharing a priest-in-charge with the neighbouring villages of Coton and Dry Drayton. The parsonage house is in Coton.
